In a bid to encourage younger participants in the prestigious 2024 Folkboat Gold Cup in Halmstad, the Nordic Folkboat International Association (NFIA) has announced continued support for crews under the age of 35. The NFIA will cover 50% of the entry fees for eligible young sailors, a policy that has been in place for several years and reflects the association's commitment to fostering the next generation of Nordic Folkboat racers.
The board of the NFIA emphasizes the importance of this initiative in sustaining the tradition and competitive spirit of Folkboat sailing among younger crews. Interested participants are invited to seize this opportunity by contacting the NFIA. Prospective sailors should email the secretary at secretary@folkboat.com, including their date of birth and boat entry details, to apply for the entry fee subsidy.
